On May 10, the Chinese electronics company Xiaomi will hold a new product release conference to reveal its Xiaomi MAX, a new model of Xiaomi phone. Along with this phone, there will be other product releases as well, one of them will probably be the next generation of Xiaomi Band.
In April, Lei Jun, Xiaomi CEO, seemed leak the look and design of a new wrist band while he was attending a company's year end party. This new wrist band should be the next generation of Xiaomi Band. The new band has a relative big screen which shows the time. There is a button at one end as well. But it's unknown what is the use of the button yet. Is it controlling the screen on/off?
From the look, it has a similar design as the new Fitbit Alta which also has a screen capable of displaying time, activities data, notifications etc. The Xiaomi band should have similar features.
Also, there is another photo wandering around the web looking like the new Xiaomi Band. The photo was posted by a person who claimed as an employee of Xiaomi.
This look is not the same as the one Lei Jun wore but more looks like the original Xiaomi Band released. It also has a screen which can display time and battery. This seems more like the final product to be released.
There are no detailed features and the expected price released yet. A few more days to go and you will have a new choice on wearables.
