Effective Java

Description

Effective Java is a collection of 90 “items” organized into 11 chapters that express best practices, design patterns, and idiomatic Java usage. Bloch updates classical guidance to account for newer language features—lambdas, streams, default and static interface methods, the java.time API, generics, concurrency, and more. He doesn’t prescribe rigid rules; rather, each item describes trade-offs, pitfalls, and code examples to illustrate what to do (and what to avoid). The book is aimed at Java developers who already know the basics and want to deepen their craft: writing clean, maintainable, robust Java code across objects, classes, generics, concurrency, and serialization.

This is the most useful book I read at the early stage of my programming career. Every example would teach something new and the information is easy to understand. It is not only useful when doing Java coding but also a very good one for understanding programming concept or principle.
